New carbon :-)

Finally gave the bike a wash over and got a few pics of the new carbon panels tonight. Ordered the carbon panels from Crown Motorsport usa and gotta say Im pretty happy :-) gives the bike a bit of a break from the normal plain black and no baffle termi's also turn a few heads lol

went for the 2x2 carbon weave, bigger and cooler effect for the larger panels imho

They must not be consistent, as some are entirely pleased with the finish. ^^

In Mi case, I ordered side panels from them, and the weave had a noticeable ripple that was too noticeable not to paint over. Within the ripple, the panel was not smooth; raised so to speak. I sanded them down & had them painted gloss black.

Fit is great though. They are reinforced properly. You get what You pay for.

Looks good!

Noticed the insides of the side panels are also carbon. Are you still able to access the tool compartment?

The fit of the side panels was bang on, the nose however was a tight fit around the headlight which took a bit of fiddling to get on, but once on fits really snug

The side panels are one piece, so the inner panels are one in the same. Therefore if you want to get access to tools then you'd have to remove the panel, I removed the tool pack......problem solved lol. I've never had to use them before now and to be honest if I had an issue I'd just have the bike recovered by truck

The quality of the carbon is good and looks pretty damn eye catching, even more so in the sun there are some small inconsistencies but then again you have to remember this is a hand made panel and not mass manufactured so would never be perfect......and for the price I would say it would be hard to beat and I'm happy with them
