Does anyone have a Hand protector for sale?
The other day I was unloading my hyper off a tilt trailer and I hate to admit it but I wasn't really paying attention, long story short I dumped it on it side. The hand protector was the only thing that got damaged, the plastic parts that hold the bolts in on the back of it both snapped. I only need the hand protector (I don't need the blinker/mirror/side assembly) and Ducati wants a insane amount of money for the piece. I figured I'd see if anyone on here had one for sale.

Not trying to thread jack, but i basically need the same thing. Just the left side. The stupid lil tab that prevents the handguard from sliding up and down broke off.
So if there's anyone else out there that has one they like to get rid of. please let me know.
Oh, i could also use a replacement stock shift lever. Too much dragging lever on the road has filed it down pretty thin. (i'm too cheap to buy aftermarket rearsets, lol).
Thanx!!!

this is exactly why when terblanche (who stayed with us for the past week and a half) was giving me shit about swapping out the stock hand guards for the more affordable carbon fiber hand guards from the group purchase cassos set up.
pierre asked me why i would swap out the cooler looking stock bits ... and when i advised him that with a hypertard, it's not a question of "if" you will drop it, it's more a question of "when".
then i advised him of the MSRP of replacement hand guard plastic parts and mirrors from ducati ... he promptly changed his mind (sort of)

Another issue between the enlightened designer Vs the curmudgeonly nickel squeezers and Parts & Accessories VP in charge of balancing the corporate bottom line?

No empathy whatsoever. Those stock handguards break way too ea$ily & cost much too much.
