Can barely walk, but missing my hyper so bad

So Tuesday night I crashed my hyper. Guess I should have given the crazy chick turning left the whole road.
Cracked tailbone, separated shoulder, crazy huge hematomas in places I didn't even know I had.
The bike is totaled, frame steering stops bent, tweaked forks, scabbed up swing arm, pretzeled aluminum subframe and that's just the major stuff.
It was sunny and 80 today I can barely walk and all I want to do is swing a leg over my bike and go for a ride!!
I'm hoping to buy it from the insurance company.
Does anyone have experience buying their wrecked bike back and suggestions on a rough buy back price?

If its as bad as you say, cut your losses and start anew.

If you feel its salvageable, low ball the shit out of them.

From what you have described, why would you want her back?

I'm humbled that you are ok. Take it easy for a while and get ample rest.

Have a good one.

It would make a fun track bike!!
I'm happy to be in one piece and completely sold on Dainese 4 stroke gloves. They are shreded but not a hint of a scratch on my palms.

Luckily you are fine. Why dont you take a break first and see what Milan bike shop 2012 has in store for us? You never know what ducati has in mind for the next year. ^_^

Glad you are OK, heal up fast!

If you really have your heart set on the bike, offer them $500. If they don't take it, go up from there. Based upon your description, I doubt it's worth fixing, so at best it's a parts bin. By the time you tear it apart and sell and ship the parts you won't make much given the time you will have into the task.

Out!
