14 tooth sprocket on the 796?

As advised by those on the forum that changed the front sprocket from 15 to 14 tooth front sprocket...I changed mine tonight.

What a difference. It was like a different...better....easier riding bike. No more chugging...and it masked the bad fueling below 4k rpm. It now pulls smooth from 3k rpm.

If you havn't done this to your 796 yet.....it's well worth the hour labor.

I forgot to mention that when changing the front sprocket....the gear shift lever has to be removed....and I found my new 850 mile Hyper had ZERO grease in the pivot. It was dry as a bone so i guess grease in Italy is hard to come by. After i greased it...shifting was noticeably better and neutral was a LOT easier to get in from a dead stop. Even if you don't intend to change the front sprocket...at least grease the gear shifter pivot. If there was no grease in mine...there is no grease in yours.
