Pissed!!! Need some help on re-flashing ECU!!!
This royally sucks. I purchased a Spark exhaust slip-on which im still waiting for (been 6 WEEKS!!!) and was planning on getting my ECU re-flashed for said exhaust. Well guess what, I called mota-lab/pro italia and they dont have a map for my exhaust. So I figured I can have them install another map for another type of slip-on so I asked the guy if the maps for the slip-ons are similar or pretty much the same around the board since they are slip-ons, well they are not. WTF can I do now? I dont like any of the other slip-ons besides the termis but they cost me $800 more.
Does anybody know where I can get a better deal on a Termi slip on? Do they ever go down in price?

So you're pissed at yourself for not doing all your research first, before buying and waiting?

Thanks for the help. Im not pissed at mota-lab or Pro Italia. Im just pissed in general. I assumed that when you got ur ECU re-flashed there wasnt really specific maps for systems, I thought that was all done by a bazzaz system or PCV.

You do have choices. None of them will give you the correct fueling, but you'll perhaps be better off than you are now.
1) If your new system still keeps the O2 sensor, keep your stock ECU, install a fatduc to cure the low speed fueling issues and don't wring it's neck all the time.
2) Get the Termi slipon ECU and you'll have the choice of running the O2 sensor, and get more fuel across the board. 8% fuel increase I think?
3) Put on the full race Termi ECU. Also an 8% fuel increase (I think).
4) Contact the people at Sparks and ask if they know anyone with a custom fuel map to fit their system.
5) Get a Power Commander and use it with a race ECU
6) Get a Microtech
If money is an issue, I'd go either the 1st or 2nd route and take plug readings to get a sense of the overall fueling. If it's not, get ready to buy parts and Dyno time.

I'm even more pissed, just received my clutch slave that's been over a week that I've been waiting for and got the wrong color. WTF Is up with Ducati distributors, not one single order I receive is right. Seriously not one!!!
End of rant
Besides that I can't use a fatduck cause they don't make it for the EVO

you need to do some research on the parts your buying and who your buying from..this forum is loaded with info from mistakes that us 08 hyper owners made..stick with site sponsors like desmoworks and bellissimoto..btw that spark exhaust is not one of the more popular exhaust systems around this forum..so its gonna be hard to find specific maps for them..zard,termi,and peraps leo are gonna be your best bet.good luck!

mate you have the new EVO MTR right seimens ecu...with both o2 sensors in it should be fine. i got a protune with the o2 deleted...when i built my exhaust and fitted stacks..it ran lean on the dyno so with the aid of moto-wheels and protune (went thru 3 custom maps) we got it down! ..if i were you i'd give matt walker at moto-wheels a call in Ca....(only saying this cause they were great to me and im in oz) maybe he can help, dont panic just take a breathe and seek out those that can aid you the best.we are all here to help if we can....as for different maps for diff mufflers?? not sure about that...people told me my bike would loooossseee power building my own exhaust and that i was mad.. etc..well it made just over 11 rwhp! and lots more torques...

I got a 2011 EVO SP And I just made my own slip-on by cutting the stock pipe before the butterfly valve. (keep the servo and wires attached) and had a shortie D&D slip on from another liter bike butt welded straight on. I then installed a BMC airfilter and I just got my Bazzaz Fi control with the 02 auto tune.
Results are a much smoother powerband with increased Hp/Torque. (est.6-8hp+ same torque if not more)
Now I can say with experience, Dont be scared about making ones own custom exhaust. (just try to KISS) Its not that hard.
