lowering links
What lowering links are available for an 08? And how much shorter will the seating position be? Thanks! Dianne

Search "Ride Height Ducati Hypermotard" on eBay. Any of those will fit Your 08 base model Hyper. Installing and lowering may make the bike considerably lower for static comfort, but be advised, the "stinkbug" stance of the Hypermotard places the necessary weight on the front wheel, providing the nimble attitude of the motard. Actual riding or sitting "static" at a stop light... wherein You choose Your comfort is up to You. Find the compromise that suits You & get Your suspension set up professionally as soon as You get the ride height adjuster installed...

the bad part about the above comment is the ride height adjuster in meant to raise the bike and doesn't really go lower. you will need to have one cut (take about a inch out)and re welded so you can have more adjustability. i have a stock non adjustable one you can have for free,as i have the adjustable one needed to raise the bike so it corners better.
you can also have the seat shaved to take out about a inch to two inch's but it will be like sitting on a board.
best of luck and feel free to ask any questions

I already have a Sargent low seat shaved to the plastic. It's okay for the street, but I tiptoe in gravel and uneven pavement.

Thanks for the help! Adjustable eye bolts too- okay. I have the 7500 check up due in about 600 miles. I was going to have the shop install/ help with the suspension once it's lowered. Thanks again, Dianne. All advice is appreciated. : )

I used the S model adjustable shock link to lower my 08 standard model about 3 years ago. just raised the forks in the triple clamps to keep the bike geomentry the same. I was tip toes every time I came to a stop and it bugged me. I am thinking about putting it all back to stock to compare the ride with the way it's been lowered.
the biggest issue I found in lowering was that the kickstand keeps the bike more upright and you have to make sure the front wheel is turned to the left when parking or it can be tippy.
see forks in pics.
