Broken shift linkage?

I did a track day at beaverun yesterday and had a few problems. When I went out for the first session I noticed my clutch pull was really light and the clutch was not engaging. So i came in to bleed the slave cylinder. After bleeding it for 20 minutes I was still getting alot of air but the lever felt fine so I went out for another session. 2 laps later I have no clutch pull and before I could make it back to the pits I down shifted and CLUNK. The shifter is stuck in gear. The clutch is disengaging but the shifter is rock solid. I am hoping that I just broke the shift linkage and did not do any damage to the gears. Any thoughts?

The EVR slave cylinder is only been on it for about a year but I guess the seal must be shot. I am going to put the stock one back on and see if I can bleed it properly.

BTW euro bikes of pittsburgh puts on a great track day.

My first bike kept locking up like that, but by the time I got it to the dealer it stopped. I got screwed lots on small charges before one day the whole system locked and was trucked over. Shifter went and other stuff, caused damage for almost a year, needed about $4k of warranty work.

Second was most recent on my Hyper. In the fall after a major service something 'clunked' badly and made noise when running. To a private mechanic it went and 'bits' of tubular bent metal were found in the alternator side cover. The linkage was replaced but all the cogs were gouged as well and were replaced. Total bill was $1k (overcharged I feel).

My amateur advice:
Empty your oil, open the side and look at all the cogs, check the bolts, look at shifter, etc. It will cost you oil and that grey goop used to re-seal the case (important!). Oh, and you need a proper (cheap) tool to remove the case. You can buy the bike one or risk cheating and get one for any engine by simply purchasing the right bolts for your cover.
