Broken bike with pictures??
Hi guys,
After researching a heap of threads relating to 'stuck in gear' I'm still stuck with my own exact problem. WAs changing from 1st to 2nd and then all of a sudden no more changing gears and it is stuck in 1st no matter how hard I tried to move the lever.
Today after a few weeks of sulking and riding my partners monster I figured I'd remove the cover and have a look. But to be honest I have no idea what I'm looking at
Here's some pics and I was hoping/praying someone here might spot the problem and save the bike from going into the shop where I won't know what they will be saying in mechanical talk.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Steve you are a legend!
I popped it out with a flat blade screwdriver with very little pressure No idea if this fixes the issue until I get the cover back on as its 6.30pm here and too dark out there to work on the bike without torchlight.
My concern is why did this happen and will it happen again so should I take it in to the dealer to be sure?
Thanks again guys

I don't have the part number on hand, but a replacement Gearbox Prawl Kit costs $54 USD. At any rate, that should be a warranty fix The dealer should know this part well, as many Hypers & SFighters had this gearbox problem...

Its not broken, dont buy a new part. Its not warranty, dont waste your time.
Over spirited changing of gears is the most common reason for this and dealers know it.
The problem is the timing on the linkage... its worn in a little now and in doing so, the clearance and length of throw have changed slightly.
I could explain how to set this correctly, but to be honest, it will take me far too long to type it out. If you want, call me and i will walk you through it step by step, no problems.
I dont know what other parts you plan to have the dealer replace, but if that was your only issue, go get some permatex ULTRA GREY, clean the mount faces and whack the cover back on because you are done. just make sure you know where your 3 longer bolts go. 2 in the dowels and 1 for your stand wiring. when you glue the cover back on, pop the rubber grommet out of the cover, clean it and apply some sealer around it too, just for piece of mind.
Cheers
