23 bucks to fill up!?!?

I guess that's what happens when you have to fill a cavernous 6 gallon tank

So my Hyper fell victim to the expanding tank/broken side panel ailment. Talked to my dealer about it and a couple days later got a call saying that I had the option of getting a new stock or.... the CAcycleworks HM69-er. Were the 4.5 available I would have gone with that, but oh well.

They got the tank and panel in on Wednesday, I dropped her off and picked her up on Thursday afternoon.

Holy crap that sound!! Previous setup was stock cans with LV cat eliminator and airbox mod. Now with the little pods it sounds only a little deeper at idle but MUCH more like the BRRRRRRAAAAAAPPPPPP of a full termi setup under load. I LOVE IT!!

Seems a little harder to wheelie in 2nd with a full tank, but it feels like it pulls at least as hard as it did before. Maybe the new exhaust note just makes it feel faster. Either way, I'm not an all out performance junkie, so I'm happy.

Thanks to Sam at SB Ducati for the work. I owe you a beer.

And when you live somewhere where gas is cheap.

$45 to do the same here, and we have CHEAP gas!

Hmmm.... I'm in the same boat. I'm wondering if I'll be so fortunate.

I filled up a Volksie Beetle once for $1.95. 8 gallons at 23&9/10 a gallon. Lowest price I ever saw.
