Advice: HM 1100 runs way too lean suddenly!?

My all-stock 2010 HM 1100evoSP always had black/dark grey inner tailpipe coloration, until last week when it turned almost white. Bike still runs great and has always popped a little on deceleration, and that has not increased. I didn't change my riding habits. The only thing I can think of is using 112 Octane fuel at the race track 3 weeks ago, but that's been at least 3-4 tank fillings ago, and I didn't notice the white color at the track. I'd assume the EFI should automatically adjust for stuff like this. Is there an easy fix, or should I bring the bike to the dealer tom have it diagnosed?

You really don't need race gas in your Hypermotard, I have high compression pistons in my Hyper and just use pump gas "super" in fact you may loose power if the octane is too high.

If you bike just started to run lean, it might just be a small air leak, check around the intake manifold, loose bolts, missing plugs, vacuum line off, etc.etc. You can even spray starter fluid around that area, if your idle goes up, "BINGO"

And "RACE" gas will run "white" at the tailpipe, and may take a few tankfuls or regular gas to "darken" the tailpipe back up especially if its running a little lean anyways. Aloha Alex

What 08Hyper said.Race gas (C12/112oct) is for engines with a compression ratio of about 13/1.
