Highest HP/TQ on modded 796?
So my buddy rode my '08 1100 (cams ecu, straight exhaust, velocity stacks).
3rd gear roll on wheelies, 4th gear wheelie with a bounce.
He isnt impressed with his 796 anymore, thinking about selling it.
The 796 weighs 366 compared to 379 on a '08 1100.
The 796 has 81HP and 55TQ, the '08 1100 was 90HP and 76TQ, mine might be slightly higher with my mods.
Can the 796 get in 90HP and 70TQ range WITHOUT many thousands of $ in the engine?

i would say yes if not very close.
the de-cat with full exhaust made a big difference with my 796,now i just need the pod filters.if the pod filters add 13hp to a 1100 they have to add at least half of that to a 796 and the cat on the 796 is bigger then the one on the 1100

I dont see the point.
If you want to see those numbers on a 796, you should get a 1100 to start with. It will probly cost less to buy a used 1100 than upgrading a 796 to display the same numbers as a bone stock 1100.
If I was to trade my 1100 for a 796, I wouldnt run after HP and TQ.
I would push on flickabilty and agility, adding a real suspension, a real shock, some very light wheels ans a single rotor setup.

to be honest i haven't even done one on this bike, here in socal where i ride a wheelie is a two point ticket (reckless driving) and local chp dont like that so i just canyon carve. i cant afford that ticket. almost all my riding Buddy's have got popped for a wheelie around here in the Malibu mountains, the chp are like ninjas and pop out of no where, lol

I would bet the HP numbers are attainable, but I'd have to see a dyno graph to see that kind of torque from a 796. You are talking a 15 ft/lbs increase.

Numbers are with No cat, Termi slipons without db-killers, Dp-airlid, Ecu flashed at Rexxer and O2's turned off.
Oh and I have gone down to a 14T Sprocket.
Still waiting for my Bazzaz kit to be delivered so I dont have any numbers to show with that installed... yet

3rd gear roll on wheelies!!! WTF?!?!? I wish. My 796 will pull the front up MAYBE 2 inches in FIRST! Guess my 215lbs has somthing to do with it. I'm still fighting the suspension on mine. Everyone talks about dragging pegs, well I dragged my cat today, pegs are totally fine. Super frustrated with my little tard.
