Found someone who hates 'em
Buddy and his son are working on a pair of Honda cafe bikes, those funky horizontal v twin 650's they made in the 80's, and Dad has a Ktm 950 Adventure, which has every doo dad add on for 'outback'. So we swap bikes and he takes my Hyper S and go for a short ride. We stop and he says, "boy, this sure is different." Didn't want to ride it back. Guess he hit the rear brake too hard on a curve and got it sliding around and it 'puckered him up' a bit. Sheez, I told him to one finger the front brake, but forgot to mention about the rear brake. I did like his top heavy, plush as a barcalounger KTM though. Nice bike, but 'it sure is different.' I like what I got, he likes what he's got. It's a beautiful world. Peace, out!

More like he "didn't want to pay" to fix your hyper when he puts it down.

I don't let anyone ride my bikes. I don't want any mishap to get in the way of a friendship.
I've had friends offer to let me ride some VERY nice/exotic bikes, but I keep the same policy...no thanks. It would suck more to crash a friend's bike than to crash my own. Let's face it, to get an idea of the bike's performance you HAVE to get on the gas a little and there's always some risk of dumping it. Maybe you got a good bud there

had the same hapen yesterday, took a friend's Multi and he took my hyper, after the first stop he almost pushed me off the Multi and started saying things like he do not understand why I bought this bike, he can't figure out why or how I ride it, but that he has new respect for me for keeping up and doing a 6.5 hour ride 2 up with other Multis...
Well my impression of the Multi was, first it felt so light, I had to make sure I did not forget my wife at the hotel, than this bike turns just by thinking about it!!!,a flip of the throttle and you are in 3 digits, easier than changing channels on my tv, braking is great to the extend that you can trail brake so easily with confidence and if you think you are still to fast, you can keep your hand and foot on the brakes and turn in, the bike will turn in with complete feel and keeps the line!!
Than, we got back on the hyper, after 10 seconds I told my wife ( via intercom) " Hell that's a bike!!" and she said " yeah! I can feel the road and the engine!" , the hyper surely feels more involved and needs much more work to go fast or slow, the over the bar feeling is soooooo nice, feels like riding on something where as the Multi feels like you are sitting in and not on something. Although I love my hyper and I'll never ( unless it becomes a habit to do 2 or more days ride ) trade it for the Multi, I have to say that the Multi is a piece of work!! really many bikes in one and it is a more sensitive choice as an all rounder....... "sensitive" pffffffff....

My policy is to never loan out your motorcycle or your girlfriend as you never know when someone could throw a rod in either one of them. That could become an issue amongst friends!

1. I never let people ride my bikes
2. I don't care what they like
3. I don't care if they hate what I have

At this point, you should be able to test ride his stuff before the trade....

That's one of the reasons I hated my 1100S(kept it 7 months)... you felt like you were 'on it' rather than 'in it'. There's many more reason but that was certainly one of them.
I like to feel part of a motorcycle.
