Which Chain Guard Case Saver fits the Hyper EVO. What engine does the EVO have?
As always im a bit confused on what parts fit this bike. Ever since I bought the oil plug for the Hyper 08/09 and received the wrong one since the EVO has a different oil plug im paranoid on what fits this bike.
Im in the process of wanting to order a Engine Case Saver but still havent figured out what type of engine the EVO has.
Which is it?
Type 1 - NON-DS1000/DS1100 or Deep Sump Testastretta Motors
Type 2 - DS1000/DS1100
Type 3 - MTS1200, Streetfighter, Diavel, 1098, 1198 and All other Deep Sump Testastretta Motors
Check out where I got this info and where im buying the case saver from

Doesn't the ds in ds1100 mean dual spark...making the evo motor something else no?

ok, the Hyper is far from the Testastretta motor so that removes #1 and #3.
Dual spark only affects the head. A chain guard case-saver will fit.

I want to order one of these myself, so I went to the website to order it but the seller has a $30 minimum order charge and this part costs $22, so his website automatically adds $8 to the order to bring it up to $30. But then to ship it to me in So. Cal it adds another $8 charge. This is not right, if my order and the shipping charge add up to $30 then there should not be another $8 charge. So I would want to call the seller and do the deal over the phone to explain this, but there appears to be no phone # on the website. Furthermore, the seller states that he will not answer any individual emails about orders, and that all questions must be posted on his message board. This is not the kind of customer service I am used to, I think this guy's business needs a little work in that department...
UPDATE: problem solved by ordering two, one for my Hyper and one for my 1198. The website automatically removed the extra $8 charge.
