HID Retrofit + Hypermotard = I can see again!
After just one night of driving around with the silly headlights ducati considers "lights" (more like flashlights if you ask me) I just couldn't stand it and even though my bike has less than 20mi's on it I decided to tear it down and do an HID retrofit. I do this for a living so I'll be changing the look/components very often because I can't leave anything alone lol.
Anyway here are the specs and of course photo's ;
Morimoto MiniD2S
Morimoto 50w Ballast
Morimoto 35w 4.3k Bulb
Modified TRS Relay harness
GTI Shroud
LED Parking lights
Inner shield painted red

Sorry no install photo's, doing this stuff is my day job and it puts money on the table so I can't give away all my trade secrets
The components I used are available to anyone from my suppliers website also ( The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications).
And as far as price goes I would rather not say (labor wise anyway) since I am not a paying vendor (yet), but if enough express interest I could toss something together and go through the proper channels to offer my services and not step on any toes. But of course it all depends on the level of interest.

Looks alittle cyclops, but in a good way! Really reminds me of european spec projectors I had on my numerous audi's.

I personally like you set-up, & like the "Cyclops" look. So let me get this straight, I guess if I send you my headlamp assembly you would send it back installed? PM me back with a price, I may be interested, Aloha Alex

+1. I am interested as well!
I am loving the DIY project too. Besides I do need brighter illumination on the road too.

Duey Cyclops
The Duey Cyclops mod may be the golden ticket for those who want better illiumination in day or nighttime riding, like me.

I did the same thing to mine. I got my stuff at
Bi-xenon: Morimoto Mini (H1) - HID Projectors from The Retrofit Source Inc
the shroud I use is different then yours, I used this one
Gatling Gun - Projector Shrouds from The Retrofit Source Inc
A LOT OF WORK TO GET THIS DONE. Im not 100% happy with the result when using the low beam. Problem is that the cutoff line is not straight ahead of me as much as I would like it to. It was a pain cause if I put it higher it wouldnt illuminate the road close to the bike, in other words right in front of the bike, and if I put it lower the cut off line would be to close preventing to see further down.
High beam is a whole different world!!!!
