No Fat Duc for the 796....ever.
I called today and spoke to Jason. He says he tried to make a Fat Duc work on a 796 but couldn't. So...there will never be a fat duc for a 796. Shame cause i wanted one really bad.

I researched the memjet. What i'd like to know is how well does it work for you? Can you blip downshifts crisp? Is it better at 3k? Does it feel a bit faster? I don't care about speed so much...i care about driveabilty.
And if Anthony can remap....what does he use for a new map? Is the map for a stock bike...stock exhaust? Does he have several maps or just one?
At this point the $195.00 for a memjet sounds better because i can adjust it for exhaust mods in the future,./..and i'm not wanting a powercommander.

i think im the only one. my two cents is it works great. but if they sell for 200 basicly you can have your ecu reflashed for 250 to 300 from what i have read here.
im not sure which would be better and not sure how far the memjet can help. i have full exhaust and no cat and modded airbox and it works fine, but i have never got to test it against a reflashed ecu. my guess is the reflash gives you more options as im guessing it can do timing too,the memjet just adds more fuel.but to what point? i guess i would need to put it on a dyno but i sure not going to pay for that.
i personally plan on the ecu reflash once i get the air pods to replace my air box ,but all these wants cost money and im not rich.
btw i only paid 75 bucks for the memjet and at that time no one was able to reflash the ecu ,so it was a no brainer, also i got the memjet the day after i got the bike so i dont remember what stock was like. i can tell you i get almost no popping.

Thanks. A reflashed ECU would obviously be better....but the problem is...what map does the guy use to reflash it? He'd have to have a map for the same exact mods that you have..or it won't be right either. That's why i don't go powercommander. They can't alter the a/f below 4k and that's exactly where it needs to be altered. It seems that without the EXACT map for our bikes...the Memjet would be the only compromise. It's not going to work perfect I know...but at least it will fatten the mixture from idle to 4k.
I'll buy the memjet and try it out.

keep in mind there is a shop in VA that can make a custom map to reflash your ecu based on the mods you have done, i read it in a thread here. i cant remember the forum member that had it done.search rexxer in the hyper threads. or do the memjet as it works good for me too!
