Kyle Racing throttle tube: Like it!
After reading previous posts here on throttle tubes, I purchased and installed the Kyle Racing throttle tube for my '08 Hyper S. The low down throttle control was always "snatchy" down low, and also abrupt when downshifting and gassing it through corners. Fixed! Much better, and when cruising along at freeway speeds, it's much better as well.
Still wheelies just fine. I recommend this product. Kyle Racing are good people to work with as well. This advice is worth only what you paid for it, your opinion might be different.

Going on my 2nd year using the Kyle Racing tube. That along w/the FatDuc works great.

With the Kyle tube you must be careful when doing track days, the cam design makes it a slower ramp in the first portion of the twist, then ramps up very fast for the second half, which can make the bike hard to control in fast sweepers when your trying to maintain good throttle control.
I ran one for a while, but after a "big" tank slapper at the track, I went to a G2 throttle with basically a stock cam. IMHO the Kyle tube is good for the street, not so much for the track or fast canyon riding. Aloha Alex

I was reading the reviews this morning, thinking about getting one of these cammed throttle tubes. But then I thought to myself, 'self, why don't we look at the stock unit first...?' A few minutes with a Dremel tool cutting, carving and polishing the stock throttle tube, et voila, a non-linear throttle cam ('throttle tamer').
Picking up maintenance throttle for cornering is much easier now, and riding in traffic requires less feathering of the clutch. I don't do track days (or pretend like I'm on a track when on the street), so the cam effect later in the twist doesn't seem to be an issue. And, I figured if I screwed it up royally, well, then I'd just buy one of the commercial offerings.
Of course, if you attempt such a modification, do so at your own risk, kiss your wife goodbye and pay up your insurance premiums.

Does the Kyle tube shorten the throttle throw also? I' m looking for a quicker action throttle that won't make the throttle abrupt..

After having the stock throttle tube, a G2 Ergonomics delrin street tamer, and a 2007 R6 throttle tube, I like the R6 tube the most. The throw is less than stock, without being too abrupt at any point. Plus it was only $10 from the local Yamaha dealer.
