paging 08hyper
(sorry for creating a thread for this, no other way to contact i can find)
Thanks for your response to my quickshifter question, tried to respond but your inbox is full and not accepting messages.
Very interested in any measurements you have in fitting dj quickshifter and also very curious what model specific product you are talking about. only thing specific to HM796 I see from dynojet is PCV, no quickshifter.
thanks,
ray.

Alex should be along in a bit but in the meantime I can add something.
First, the PCv supports the quickshifter and the quickshifter can be purchased separately as it is universal. You just need to know if your linkage assembly is "push or pull" type on upshift.
Also, Alex has the DP Rearsets so his measurements won't be the same as a stock rearset. He can, however, tell you which measurements you need and how to estimate based on the size of the quickshifter unit.

Dave, I'm officially making you my secatary.....
Ray, part# for your PCV is 14-008
Quickshifter part # for a a "pull" type that fits the PCV is a 4-113
I measure the linkage space needed and post back later today.
Aloha Alex

thanks for all the info guys. Bummer, but Dynojet is backordered on PCV for hyper 796 now. I called Bazzaz and they said they are 3 weeks away from shipping theirs, good news though - they will also have a quickshifter. Probably gonna hold out for the bazzaz, hopefully it really is only 3 weeks....

I've been hearing that Bazzaz is junk...
Just the word on the street, not mine. I don't really know.

So I ended up finding someone with a pcv in stock so I went the dynojet route. Tested the bike at Infineon Raceway (home track) and god damn it's awesome!!!! I also put a 14 tooth sprocket in the front and the combo of qs and down 1 in the front is ridiculous on the small hyper.
Installation was a breeze as well, did not have to modify anything and did not need any shift linkage from dynojet. I have woodcraft rearsets with GP shift so I used the push pressure qs type (4-114). To make the install super easy I had a heim joint in my toolbox that had male connection not female, put that on the gear shifter side and screwed that into the female end of qs, male end of qs into the shift knuckle and works perfect in the very limited space.
