Narrower bars!

Is the general concenses still for a narrower more forward bar to use renthals with a Charmichael bend and trim off the excess?

The goat's ProTaper bend is very good. & for lane-splitting pleasure, I shaved +/- an inch off of each end. No complaints.

i have fatbar..carmicheal bend and love em...trimmed bout 3/4 inch off the ends...it keeps the transition from crf to hyper more the same.

A bar swap on the Hyper will need to incorporate replacement mirrors and turn signals. Bar width will be the least of your problems.
Go with the Rizoma Conical bars though for starters, (725mm wide). Work the rest out by doing some research.

I'm running rizoma leds on my frame for turn signals and I have a barend mirror. So the swap will be pretty easy
