Just purchased used full exhaust/ecu for my hyper and I have a few questions
I purchased a used full exhaust system for my hypermotard. the system includes zard collectors, termignoni 2-2 slip on, and dp race ecu. I was told it came off a 2008 hyper which is the same year as mine. I am wondering will I be able to just plug and play the ecu or will I have to take it to the dealer as its has been installed on another bike (i've read some places that once the ecu that comes with the termignoni slip ons is mated with a bike it can't simple be moved to another bike) I've also been told that the zard pipes are a pain in the ass to install I was wondering if anyone's installed them on their bike and has any advice. As much information as possible on these two subjects would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

2008 Hyper -> Magneti Marelli ECU -> your will need to go to your dealer for a CO trim and TPS reset.
Zard headers fitting is random... from "almost fitting" to "what the fuck, did they send the riht headers ?"
I have the same exhats setup on my 08 hyper, working great

I just installed the Zard collectors, DP ecu and cored stock exhaust on mine. You can ride without going to the dealer, but it didn't feel right. After the tps reset and tune it felt a lot smoother and the throttle response was better. Also my dealer said the low rpm range was running very lean, which i find odd and scary.
The install on the collectors took me a little while. You will need to remove the bracket where the oem cat bolted up. Then fit the pipes to the heads, but do not tighten them. Then work on getting the bolt in on the bracket by where the old cat bracket was. Then slip on the rear pipe, get the spring connections on then bolt up the mufflers.
I just did this recently so if you have anymore ???s let me know. Good luck and enjoy the sound!

Got the same system on my 08 Hyper. You won't need the dp ECU unless you loose the airbox and get the stacks

I lost the air box and got the stacks, and use the DP cam ecu as well. I love the sound and I am still getting used to the power again. Not sure if I was at wot but i was very close at the top of second gear and the front came right off the ground. I did not expect that, kinda scared me. So I guess I gained a some more top end power with this set up, not what I was expecting but I'll take it

I just talked to my local ducati dealer, they said they'd do the install for around $300 (3 hours at $90/hr), I'm thinking that's gonna be the way to go if the ecu is gonna need a CO trim and TPS reset and the pipes are finicky.

That's a good price.
