HD Video Cam's - which one?

Looking for feedback on Video Cameras for helmet or moto-mount. I like the GoPro HD and the Contour HD is the other serious player. I know the GoPro is the standard - but the optics, profile, and over-all craftsmanship of the Contour (and the extra $100) is calling me. Anybody out there in Ducati land have feedback? The riding seaason is upon us and I want HD memories!

My only experience is with an HDGopro at rivers, lakes, trackdays and dirt riding. Has captured great footage and has held up very well. Can't go wrong with a gopro.

I've got the GoPro HERO HD and like it a lot, you have to play with the settings a bit and experiment with the mounting to keep vibration down but once you figure it out, it's great. The adhesive mounting points are actually really good, I still safety wire just because I'm paranoid but I've never had one budge a bit.
My street bike (SV650) has been down the last couple weeks so I haven't gotten much footage, here is the only video I've got finished:

I love to show these off...Sorry

Taken with a DOG cam. Worked very well, until like an idiot, I left the recorder inside a pocket unzipped, and disappeared during a 200 km/hr sesssion.

VholdR's ContourHD 1080p

I love the ContourHD 1080p from VholdR and the results it produces. Especially the 60fps mode with the fisheye-look at 1280x720 is terrific:

Here are a couple of photos showing mounting examples I use with my Hyper.

Best regards...

GoPro hd Hero, but I am biased. I make GoPro accessories. GoPole: Clear Pole Mounts made for your GoPro Camera.

I own both and use both at the track and on street rides. Here's my take after literally hundreds of hours of video through both.

GoPro

1. Great mounting options
2. The best sound of the two by FAR due to reduced wind noise
3. Waterproof case standard
4. New 3D option
5. LCD back (cool stuff)
6. Configuration changes are done on the camera (Contour is done via computer)

Contour

1. Easier to power on and start/stop recording
2. Better helmet mount
3. Dual lasers to level/aim camera
4. GPS kicks butt on the new model
5. simple selector switch between 2 per-selected modes (most config done on PC)

For me the video quality is pretty much equal. The wind noise on the Contour is TERRIBLE. I did manage to get a wind screen to work made out of foam but it should be built-in by default.

REALLY, not one person recommended the Contour GPS?

The new Contour GPS is the game changer. Full 1080 HD, a GPS system that shows your location and speed when being used. Water and mud resistant. A mic that wont get blown out by the wind. You can even download the video and store it on their site.

Oh, did I mention the fact that the price is pretty good too?

Just checked out the contour website. They have an app for it now that uses your iphone to make adjustments and largely acts as a preview monitor to adjust the camera in real time

That is cool, no computer needed.

if you could wirelessly upload footage to a mobile device, that would be sick

WOW!!! Thanks everybody! Now, to weigh out the pro's and con's. I am leaning toward the Contour - but don't want wind noise - but would like to edit and add a sound track, which would make that moot, right?
