Anyone regret buying the Termi 2 into 1?

I'm really getting sick of the popping on my 796 with cat eliminator and I've been looking at getting tuning, however I'd also like to replace the mufflers as well. I like the look of the single muffler and it seems like most options out there for that require new headers anyways. So between tuning and wanting aftermarket mufflers I've convinced myself that the price for the termi 2 into 1 isn't all that bad.

Anyone regret getting the 2 into 1. I would get the full titanium version not the carbon as I've seen people have had some melting issues.

No regrets at all on the 2 into 1 on my 1100 S. Leave the db killer out, and rejoice at the sound a V twin should make. Cleans up the fueling issue nicely too!

To all who doubt me, I say, "bbbrrrraapppp"!

My "pre-owned" 1100s came with the 2-1 Termi so I dont know the "other way". That said I love it and I finally pulled the baffle out and sweet Jesus what a sound ! Balls like you cant believe. Love it.

No melting issues with the carbon in 17k miles on my 1100S. No regrets either, the sound is just amazing.

the difference between the stock and 2-1 is night and day. I bet the bike was designed to run like it does with the 2-1 kit, until they had to neuter it to pass the gubmint tests.

the melting issues with the carbon fiber 2-1 cans i have seen firsthand have been due to the owner running the DB killer baffle. it seems that the baffle provides too much back pressure on the exhaust gasses, and starts to discolor the carbon fiber.

fwiw, i have had the 2-1 system with carbon can on my hyper for a little over 20,000 miles, and have had no issues with discoloring (i have not run the DB killer baffle).

Another benefit with the 2into1 carbon or titanium is the weight loss. You can feel the difference.

I got the titanium 2 into 1 on my 796 middle of last year. The bike goes way better & the weight difference is noticable, but I wish I'd had the carbon. Don't know if it's just my imagination, but I reckon the carbon sounds deeper?

My 796 goes ok with the baffle in or out and pops just the same either way on decel....

Thanks for the replies everyone. You convinced me, I ordered the kit. I went with the titanium kit as I foresee wanting to run with the baffle in from time to time and I don't want to worry about killing the carbon.
