I have questions about where the rivets hold the CF to the core. I've seen pix here where the CF has melted, but it seems the CF is ornamental not structural.

There has been reports of the carbon cans melting when the db killer is installed. I have the carbon one and removed the db killer for that reason. I find the 2into1 not to be that loud unless you are heavy on the throttle. So if I'm riding through town or see cops I short shift and it doesn't seem to draw attention.

carbon fiber can take alot of heat, over 500 degs ,think about it its made from carbon. its the resins that they use that can catch fire.some companys use high end areospace resins that wont catch fire or melt.

Removing the db killer is easy. Just unscrew the one Allen bolt at the end of the exhaust can and pull it out.

yes agree, we may need to think about the quality of the carbon or resins as suggested that particular brands may use as a skin only..good point
