Time to decide...good deal??
Will be pulling the trigger on a new 1100 Hyper this week. I'm the guy that loves the white Hyper among other reasons which now i'm limited to the brand new SP; however, I've found several 2009 1100 out there that are brand new either on showroom floor or in the box. Here's what I've been presented - also keep in mind I'm having to have these shipped as there is none remotely close to SW Florida. This is before FL sales tax which I'll take care of upon delivery.
2009 Hyper 1100 - $11K to my doorstep (includes shipping & insurance, dealer prep/paperwork, etc.)
2010 Hyper 1100 EVO SP - $13.76K to my doorstep (same as above)
2009 Hyper 1100 DEMO - 60 miles on her by owner and a few demo trips with customers. They want me to make offer. Is this worth pursuing despite the low mileage? Apparently it still qualifies for the new warranty.
I'm torn between the 1100 and EVO SP. Not one to add anything - will keep stock. Are these reasonable deals? I've found a few more but can't get them to match these or they come close.
Thanks all! See you on the boards next week hopefully with a new 1100 in my driveway.

Is the 1100 an S model? If it isn't I would say go for the SP. Extra $2700 gets you quite a bit in my opinion. And i love the white!

The 2009 is a straight 1100...
Just got another option presented. Dealer has a 2011 HYPER EVO Black on the floor along with a 2010 HYPER 796 WHITE. He's put together an offer to switch the plastic over to the 1100. This would be $11.92K to my doorstep for a new unique 2011 WHITE 1100 EVO.
Too many decisions to make!! I do like the sales guy for thinking out of the box to get the deal done. He also has the 2010 EVO SP.

Since your already having them shipped to you, I'll suggest a long (distance) shot. I've been just blown away by the pricing of my local dealer. You might save yourself a whole bunch, even after shipping, by giving Al Gillen (owner) a call at 716-537-2309. I picked up my '11 1100 evo from him last fall, and I'm pretty sure he has a couple more on hand (evo/sp). Can't hurt to check, right? Be sure to mention Darren Kavanaugh sent you

I think the difference between an 1100 and an S is much less than the difference between the 1100 and an SP. I opted for standard model in 08 and I am glad that I did. If I would do it all over again in '11, I would go SP. The better forks, motor, and weight are worth the price to me. Epecially considering you are gonig to keep things stock.
The upgrades on the pre-'11 S model really aren't upgrades. Brakes on both bikes are awesome, the stock sachs shock is great and certainly better than the stock ohlins setup when the sachs is set up right by a shop, etc.

For what it's worth, I just paid slightly north of $13K for a leftover '10 EVO SP. My local dealer had a list of units located around the country...he said some of them were in financial trouble and looking to move leftover product. I will admit I didn't put as much effort into it as you have seemed to, but it was the bike I wanted and it seemed like a reasonable price. Of course now I'm going crazy waiting for the bike to arrive from CA...
I would look for an EVO 2010. Might as well take advantage of the updates that were made from the original version. SP or not to SP is just personal preference and budget. Good luck!

Not meaning to hijack but I'm trying to decide between a 2011 796 for 10K or a left over 2010 1100 EVO with extra bodywork to change colors for 12K. Any input? Decisions, decisions

unless you are a new rider, 2010 Evo is an obvious choice to me. Many seek more power with the 1100. I imagine the 796 would be fun and new, but for a $2k difference, you are losing out on a lot of bike (motor and suspension).
