Stock Handguard Repair
Mechanic,Test ride, loose sand, cement floor, front brake, broken handguard. It didn't hit hard just enough to snap the tabs that hold the little square nuts. Repair cost less then $5.00 spent at the local hardware store.
I drilled through the handguard with an extra long 3/16 drill
5mm bolt and nylock nut, as I tighten the bolt I heated the handguard with a heat gun, so the head counter sink slightly into the soft plastic
Seems to work fine maybe I'll do the other

good thinking. I tried for way too long to epoxy mine. It didn't work for a damn. I have no idea why they were made so cheaply.
I ended up going with zeta bars and armour guards. Much more than the $5 you spent!

My handguard has been screwed like that for the past 10k miles. No issues but it looks repaired with the accompanying scratches.

I did that to mine too while waiting for the replacement to come in. When all was said and done, the fix was actually stronger than the original.

I actually emailed Claudio Domenicali about the weak point of the handguards and the details of the repair, after he gave me his card at WPM. The right handguard is still on my Hyper, even though I have the replacement. It's not something that really sticks out.

I found the left side top is broke, all by itself. I'm going to try goop.
