The cool thing about my Hyper is..

Sitting right up front on the gas tank and still being abel lift the front wheel over the railroad tracks in 3rd gear.

My hyper is still stock but shit its such an animal and id hate to be riding a stupid overweight Harley.

All my friends have Harleys and they keep telling me ill eventually buy one before its all over.

My boss man has a Buell and he hates his bike after riding mine.

The cool thing about my Hyper is how i can scald the Jap crap running up the freeway.

Its comical when we run into traffic and i flicker back n forth slicing that shit up.

I rode a old ill handling `94 ZX9R for years and its a wonder i didnt crash that fuckker.

Yep the cool thing about owning a Hyper Duc is the flick ability.

Im just glad that the warm weather has finially returned.

I just love the engine characteristic of the DS1100 engine. It makes the Hyper so much fun to ride! It doesn't sound anywhere as good as the 900 engine but it sure spanks it in every other way.

Really??? There is no way my Hyper would scald my CBR and the CBR is about half the displacement.

No shit, first time I rode even my 796 I had people stopping and talking to me while I was sitting in the left turn lane at stop lights. I've had guys follow me out of parking garages to ask me about it.

Best of all it's just fun as hell to ride and she's so light I can flick her around anything.

I also love my hyper but there are serious limitations to it though.
No way that you are keeping up in a straight line to any modern 600cc jap bike let alone a litre bike.
In town its super fast and fun due to the "right now" power delivery and torque and upright seating position that allows quick changes of direction when going slow.
On a track, the hyper gets it's ass handed to it most times. I get passed on the straight by every 600 out there. In slow and medium speed corners I can catch and pass some of them but a good rider will lose me in the faster corners.
The pegs are too low for really big lean angles (need rearsets!).
Would I trade it in? No way. Would I buy a better track bike? Maybe...

+1 on your track assessment. I still love catching the 600s (at least some of the less capable riders) in the first corner that passed me on the straightaway. I love the brakes on this bike!

I did get tired of working hard through all the of the corners only to end up in a cluster at the end of the front straight. Then waiting for an opportunity to pass them in the corners, really destroys any rhythm I have . If not for the cluster I'd be very happy with the Hyper on the track. I did end up buying a 749 for the track, the Hyper will end up staying in VT, great roads
