Exhaust Smell on your back
So I'm running a Termi 2-1-2. Is it a common problem with the under tail exhausts to have your back [in this case my satchel bag] completely coated in exhaust fume smell after a ride?
Any simple aerodynamic changes to keep the fumes from circling back onto me?

It's more the aerodynamics as you say and the state of tune but not necessarily the undertail exhaust because my CBR600RR with the undertail exhaust is not a major culprit while my KLX with the side exhaust is probably the worst.
I often wear a backpack and when I do, the backpack does soaks up most of the smell.

After I had the Termi 2-1 installed, my gas mileage went to poo and I stunk like unburnt fuel after a ride. Almost like I was riding and old 2-smoker.
I took it back to the dealer and they put it on the dyno and worked their magic. No Power Commander or Nemesis.
I had the same thing done after the cams and ecu went in as well.
Sounds like you might have a similar situation and could benefit from some dyno tuning.

I am betting on a fueling issue as well. My wife does get quite a bit of fumes with my 2-1 termi. But, significantly less after the fuel trim was adjusted.

So fuel trim issue. How do you fix that? I know I just had the TPS adjusted by the dealer, but I would rather try and do this one myself. Is that possible?
Freezer - where would you go to get it done, I'm due for a ride up there anyway.

I borrowed a VDST kit from a member on here. I also have a gastester that I plan on trying out before spring. I plan on checking belt tension at the same time using a microphone and guitar tuning software.
I will see if I can borrow it again and I will let you know. You are just north of Filthadelphia, so about 3 hours from me up 476. I am just off of 80.
I would be happy to adjust your fuel trim, and bleed screws to help things out if you'd like. Do you have one of the termi ECU's? Because the stock ECU doesn't enable much change.

Yea once I installed the 2-1-2 termi kit with air box lid, and ecu my bike idles to low even after I got the TPS sensor reset and smells very rich!! I want to buy or borrow a VDST but no way in hell do I feel comdortable adjusting the A/F mixture by just smell.. Like when u adjust the fuel trim is that only during WOT or is it over the whole rpm and throttle range? Please anyone who has a VDST and used it a couple times please shed some light I love my Hyper but this idle and fuel mixture is no fun
also just a note when my bike is under 200 degress its a beast and once she gets over 200 degrees I swear I loose 10 - 20 hp.. no joke..
