What to do with Spare Parts?
So - What is the general concensus on 'spare stock parts'?
I now have sitting in the garage stock exhaust, stock clutch cover, stock seat, stock ECU, some odds and ends bits, and the passenger pegs off a 1098 [strange story].
Where has everyone had the best luck getting some extra gas money for this stuff? eBay? Craigslist? The Classifieds here? Does it end up being worth it? Who is out there buying a stock clutch cover and springs for a HyperMotard anyway?
Any good stories / advice / warnings?

I try to keep as many stock parts as I can.
If I ever sell the bike later, I will put it back in its stock shape ans resale all the goodies on forums-craigslist

Same here. I have all the stock items taken off my Ducs when I put on aftermarket items. Putting the bike back to stock will still get the same price when it's sold.

I have te same issues. I have the garage space but I don't really want to use it all just for if/when I sell the Hyper.
I have saved my stuff but figure that when someone goes down, I can help them out with some of my stock stuff for free. Lots of folks will do that on here.
I gave my stock seat to Yellow Cake when he was selling his Hyper as his seat sucked. He gave me a smoking deal on his Woodcraft rearsets though so I really didn't lose a thing, if fact I made out pretty good.
It does suck having the stuff lying around though. I think I'm gonna build a shed in the backyard for this stuff and more.

I just include the stock parts with the bike when I sell it. They are not worth selling. Stock Hypermotard springs and retainers are worth about $3.

I too kept all my standard parts when fitting extras, came the time I traded on the new HM796 I've since refitted my carbon bits and other extras straight on,now i have the same amount of original spares in the spare room as before...although my dp racing seat is less comfy than the new re-designed 796 seat, i might end up selling that one day.
