TwillTech Carbon Fiber Kit Installed

Finally got around to installing the twill tech kit on the hyper.

It was all very light, very rigid and purdy too.

Feedback welcome from any and all.

Dead of winter. Thats BS.
Its 5 above today, we just got another 6" of snow. Unlike the East coast when it snows then warms and melts, here the snow/ice arrives in September, it doesnt leave till April, sometimes May!

I bought a set of "defect" fairings from them, they look great.
I need to compare the weave sizing to the 08-09s, and Evo rear fairings.
You gonna get rid of the old, lame, ugly fairings?

Looks good! Would you say the quality is top notch?

How does the bike ride with bars that high. That must be 3 inches over stock height at least it looks.

Wait, is that a garage door opener?
There should be a mod for adding a automobile homelink pod to our dash.

That looks nice. I have seen Twilltech on ebay and wasn't sure if it was good quality given the price.

Are those Faast handle bars holding up the garage door opener? They are nice on MX bikes but I never thought about them on the Hyper.

Yes, those are fasst bars holding up the garage door opener.

I bought the fast bars because the hyper was soo freaking twitchy. With the soft poly bushings installed the hyper can twitch all it wants, but my hands stay in place with no extra shock, load or forearm pump.

Quality of the carbon.....some was damaged in shipping. I called the manufacturer and was not happy with his solution. It took me about four hours to fit the headlight faring properly, and another hour for the tank cover. The rear faring arrived damaged and would not attach or clip in place on top of the tail light. I didn't want to take pictures, send them to the manufacturer, wait on his approval, then box it back up and send it to them while I wait on them another 2 months for a replacement. I put some silicone on the bottom of it and taped it in place till it dried. I polished out the factory defect as best as I could and it will be alright for now.

Kinda reminds me of my experiences with Corbin seats. Their product is wonderful with very high build and finishing quality. After buying several of their very high priced seats, I can honestly say that their seats are great, its their service after the sale that sucks to high heaven.

Sorta the same with TwillTech. For 450 buckaroonies US, I bought in early and waited for the production run. Bought sight unseen, at a great price, just had to wait on it to be built and shipped, then see how it is.

Design is very robust and has better mounting flanges than I have ever seen on carbon. Very secure once installed. It is only a couple of coats of clear thicker than the very pricey stuff, only way stronger and looks way better.

It took about two hours of hand polishing once installed to make it shine. Then a few coats of good wax makes it look wet and slick.

I will say that I think it was a great buy considering anything else that may come close in appearance and strength will cost more than double what I paid.

Hope this helps others decide.

I will lose the red plastics that came off.

Anyone know where to get some cool DUCATI graphics?
