My shiny overpriced cat delete pipes are here and...
how do you install them?! What a horrible question. I spent some time outside trying to put it on and have put it off until Monday when I have more time. I took off the lead pipe coming out of the engine and got the stock cat pipe off that way. So from there I tried to adjust the new catless pipes and thought I could slide them right in and put the lead pipe on and whammo...done right? Nope. Could you guys toss some suggestions to me on how to get this done? I'm thinking I'm going to have to take the whole exhaust system off, assemble it and then slide it back on.

When dealing with exhaust parts, you have to loosen things up. So everything that seems to not fit is acting that way because it is tight. Any attaching points, header nuts, compression sleeves(whatevertheyarecalled). I completely removed the front header pipe.
If it feels like it is sticking when you try to manipulate things into place, a little anti seize works wonders at the joints.
I only removed the front header pipe. Once that is off, the cat sorta drops down from the other attaching points. I did not remove anything else to put my eliminator in.
It will work, just dont get frustrated and it will come together.

Holy crap! The bike sounds like a bike! It's the pissed off sound of what it should have been being sold out of the factory. I will post up db differences and pics of the before and after here shortly.

def. need some lube to get things to fit together for ya. I had mine off to wrap the headers and it is tough even with pipes that were already run for 8000 miles.
