Flat as asa pancake

Went to take the hyper out today and the battery was as flat as a pancake. I put the jump leads to her and went out for a run, then the fuel light came on and i switched the bike off when i was doing about 60mph and tried to start her but the battery was still flat so i had to come home again because when i would have taken the key out she would not have started again. Do you think that the battery is done or is just in need of a good charge after the winter.

I would put it on a slow charge until fully charged, and see if it holds a charge. I would also make it a habit to keep the battery on a trickle charger when not being ridden. Keep us posted on what you find.

i did what you said and put it on a slow charge so she is starting on the button now. I had noticed that the battery terminals were slack so i took them off and cleaned them with some sand paper and tightened them up and all is going well now thanks
