Comprehensive interchangeable parts list?
Have you guys started a list of interchangeable parts?
For instance the wheels that fit the Hyper fit the newer Multi right?
Same with a rear hugger?

No, no and no.
No I've never a list of interchangeable parts for the Hypermotard.
Few parts like dry clutches, 100mm calipers are common on most Ducati's
No, the New Multi wheels wont fit the Hypermotard.
The rear wheel on the new Multi is a 6" and use a different eccentric hub (same story for the 1098, SF, 1198)
The front wheel might be the same, but you want to double check the offset on the rotors...
Dunno about rear hugger.
All those Hyper parts you mentionned are compatible with the old multi.

I would be happy with a list of what is different between the 2008-9 and the 2010. I see a lot of parts on ebay and Ducati aftermarket sites that say they fit the 08-9 but don't mention the 2010.
I have tried to hit the Ducati online stores and look up part numbers but that is painful and I'm not sure it's accruate. Like the missing 2010 manual.
Currently I want to buy the clutch side cover off ebay and mill windows in it like this one. But Ducati says the 2010 uses the "Vacural" casting process to save weight so I'm not sure if it will fit.
lets see those pressure plates/open clutch covers photos!

#/ ECU, Siemens on 2010 and +
#/ DP ECU, Siemens on 2010 and +, but unlike the previous generation of DP ECU, the new version retain the 2 oxygen sensors.
#/ 2 oxygen sensors on the 2010 and +, meaning exhaust lines will fit, but if it's for a 08-09 Hyper, you will have to drill holes for the sensors.
#/ Last one I cant think about, that recently showed up on the french board:
The little hole is for a temp sensor, making the CCW big tank a little harder to install.
Everything else is the same and if it fits the 08-09, it will fit the Evo and Evo SP.
-----------------------------------
796 cannot install the 1100 shock, cause of one of the oxygen sensor in the way.

Chouch;
Thanks! Ducati, or maybe it was the motorcycle magazines, made a big deal about the "Vacural" casting method saving a bunch of weight. Is it only the actual engine cases that are different and the covers are the same from 80-09? That makes sense to me but the head is different with single plug on the '10.
Also, I am annoyed that the 08-09 displayed actual oil temp and the '10 displays some LCD bars! It would seem that the companies that build programmers could turn that back on. Plus, it would be nice if they could make it display the ambient temperature that the FI uses. That way you could see if any of the airbox\stack mods make much of a difference to inlet temp. I have my doubts but the aftermarket automotive filter companies always claim their system "Brings in cool air for more performance."

Not much to worry about there, just weld in a new bung.
Others will just disable their O2's anyways for tuning purposes so it can easily be removed.
What about forks? what's the dimension on 1100 ones?

Can pretty much swap any fork from any other Hyper 1100
07-09 1100 got 50mm Marzo.
07-08 1100 S got 50mm Marzo with DLC on the sliders and goldish upper legs.
09 1100 S got 48mm Kayaba, with DLC on the sliders and goldish upper legs.
10-11 1100 Evo got 50 Marzo, with black upper legs.
10-11 1100 Evo SP got 50 marzo with DLC on the sliders and black upper legs, and an additional 30mm of fork travel.
@Rikosintie, Ducati said a lot of thinks for the 1100 evo launch, lighter etc etc, but the biggest difference is in the flywheel.
The open clutch covers you can find on ebay fits all Hypermotard, of any year. (well not the 796...)

So in other words. 1100 forks wont fit 796 (which has Ø 43 mm Marzocchi stock) without replacing the triples.
Does the 1100 triples fit the 796?

Thanks! I am actually talking about the cover with the seal and oil dip stick, not the clucth cover. All of those say "Fits any Ducati with a dry clutch". I want to machine in the windows like the bike in the link but don't want mine down while I build the tooling and such. Plus, if I screw it up...
Here is one on ebay
DUCATI HYPERMOTARD 1100S RIGHT ENGINE CLUTCH COVER - eBay (item 290474995197 end time Feb-09-11 16:18:50 PST)

I think I found another difference. Here is a picture of the oil drain plug on my evo.
And here is a picture of the TPO drain plug I bought for a '08-'09 Hyper.
They aren't even close to each other.
