Unhappy 2 to 2 slip on

Sorry for my ignorance gents . I have installed the termi slip on today but was quite disappointed by it. I just felt tht i overall other than the loud pipe sound the bike has lost its performance meaning to say worst than the stock pipes. I just wonder y? Question if you guys can help me with:

1. How do you know whether am i getting the correct slip on pipes other than the box stating the pn no of the pipe. I cant find any nos on the pipe other than the four digits. Btw i am having a 1100 evo sp

2. The ecu was installed on the bike but i just wanna be sure that the evo sp guys what display message flash across when they turn the key to on position.

3. Last but not least do i have to send it for dyno to maximise the total hp?

Many thanks for sheedding some light for this lost child thanks!

hi mate , form what i know of the evo sp and the seimens ecu, after talking with many tuners , some have suggested that adding just the mufflers will not aid anything other than the nice noise...from wht i understand on the new bike its more the comination of a full exhaust and intake mod..

there are some shops here that have dyno'd the new monster and evo HM, and have found that there is no real gain in the pipes, compared to the old model 2009 (diff ecu)

hopefully someone else will chime in that know's more, i will be building my exhaust over the next two weeks adding stacks and a pro-tune...EVO SP i have a before dyno so i'll interested to see if the numbers move north.

i dont think dyno your bike will help as there is nothing in the map you can adjust...but maybe checking the cylinder balance would be handy (air screws)

Is it some sort of question ???

There's 4 type of ECU
* Stock
* 2-2
* 2-1 or 2-1 for header kit, which are the same
* DP racing cams.

Chances are your dealer installed the one that come in the box, and it's the good one.
You installed SLIPONS, dont expect anything else than a noisier bike.

I put the slipons on my '08 and didn't change the ECU right away. I live at 4600'MSL so everything runs a bit richer than normal anyway so I wasn't worried.

I did notice that the power was down as compared to the stock pipes with, of course, the same (stock) ECU. Not as torquey. Once I put in the new ECU though, everything changed. When it used to fall on it's face at the top end, it now pulled right through.

I do have the full system (2-1) ECU and mine says "HYM 1100 Racing EVO" upon start up.
