Repair rim or hit with hammer?
I have the 1100 evo sp and have flat spotted a very small section of the rear rim. The damage is only a 1/4 inch in width and is only on the open side of the wheel. I noticed it because the red pinstripe is no longer round in that area and a small area of the edge of the rim is a little flared out. Is this something i can beat back straight, worried cause it's aluminum, need new wheel, or just ride it ya'll have seen worse?

Block of wood and a BFH. That's common where I live.

If you don't trust yourself to bang it straight, there's plenty of companies that will straighten it, check it for balance and roundness, for not much

After I endoed the Hyper and lipped the wheels, the wheels were sent out and repaired. You would never know by looking at them today.
I think I would go for for the repair route vs hammer whacking.

When I restored a crashed Duc 749 I bought, I had the front rim repaired. There are several places that do it. I picked a place called MC Wheel. They had and may still have the 100 dollar rim job. good Luck.

I had to have both forged OZ wheels fixed on my old RSVR Factory a number of years back after hitting a chunk of concrete in the middle of the road that fell off some idiot's truck. They did a great job and the price was reasonable, shipping sort of sucked though. My front was so bad it wouldn't hold air though.

My front looks just like yours. It has been like this for a year and 2,500 miles. Still holds air fine, doesn't wabble at all. I even did tire swap with no problems. I do want to get it taken care of before spring though. I know a place that quoted me $100 around here.
