Mid pipe valve, remove the cables?

On my 08 Hyper I have the Termi Cams ECU, DeCat pipe and Termi slip ons.
Can I remove the cables and actuator?
Will the valve stay in the open position?

I searched but only found a couple posts about the Termi full system.

Thanks in advance.

Yes and yes (as long as you remove te cables while the bike is not running, duh).

I did it already and I have the slip-ons and 2-1 ECU. No more motor, no more cables, no service light on the dashboard.

Stupid question:
The valve defiantly stays open?

Stupid answer: Duh!!

Actually, the valve is spring loaded and needs the cables, actuated by the motor, to close. Even then, it only closes at idle and maybe just above (not sure) then it opens and stays that way.
