This weighs 9 ounces!
I'm no weight monger, but come on now, over half a pound for a bracket that doesn't do all that much?

Make on of these in Al and I bet you cut 5 ounces off...and a hell of a lot cheaper than the equivalent savings with Ti bolts...

Why not? All that's under there is more gas tank. The stock piece itself isn't especially rugged, just made from heavy powedercoated steel.
