Will I be disappointed by the power on a Hyper?

I'm seriously considering picking up a hyper but I am a little hesitant as I have had liter bikes for last 10 years or so. Every review I've read says these things pull like a train but I was wondering if others have experience coming from 150hp bikes?

Thanks!
Ryan

Take a demo ride! And take pictures so that we can see the Hyper in the snow!

I don't know which sportbike brands you have ridden before but the Hyper is a "naked" air-cooled twin. What I mean by this is, the power is lower on the RPM scale, and try to go faster than 100 and you will get blown off, even if you tuck.

The Hyper is not a "liter" bike, although it displaces 1100 cc's. It is a totally different type of bike, not sportbike, not motard, yet somewhere in between. I came from a GSX-R600 and the Hyper, although slower straight-line, makes me happier all the way around.

Ride it!

Before the Hyper, I had a 996, and before that a gsxr1k. The Hyper is faster than those two under triple digits for me. The bike is really easy to flick around and go fast on, pulls great out of corners, the ergos and visibility are ideal for street riding. The only neg I have found is it's just too tempting and easy to wheelie and it isn't as good looking as some sport bikes.

Coming from a ZX-10R, I miss nothing. The 796 HYM is so much easier to handle and more fun to drive!

I came from a 1000 cc liquid cooled twin. I don't miss it that much at all. I loved the bike, but nothing like the love I have for the hyper. I have no problem staying in front of or keeping up with my buddies on liter bikes on any mountain road up to 110 mph.

Ditto, I don't miss my Aprilia RSVR1000 one bit. About the only place I miss a dedicated sportbike is the track....but I'm not allowed to do that anymore.

Take one for a spin!
