Titanium Suspension bolts
I am going to be swapping out the rear shock on my hyper and I am wondering if i should spend the money on some TPO Titanium suspension bolts... For about $75.00 I can get the set. I don't wanna start a discussion on all the differences between titanium and stock and how they may or may not make a difference.... we all know that titanium is stronger, stiffer, lighter, corrosion resistant, shinier and adds bling factor.... My question is if anyone has ever used Titanium suspension mounting hardware and if it made any noticeable differences in performance? thanks!

I don't know what the total weight savings is but I can't imagine that it is enough to notice.
However, since you will have it apart anyway I think the bling factor is worth $75. I would do it.
I bought their Oil plug set and the two peices are beautiful.

IMHO, the best advantage that Titanium will give you over the stock fasteners is strength. I'm not talking shear strength, I'm talking about not rounding out the allen head strength.
I've never had so many problems rounding out fasters as I have with my Hyper.
....and I paid how much for this privilidge???

Dave,
Is this for the smaller bolts 3-5mm or larger ones?
Just curious if in long term it would be good to swap out the little bits that can strip out easier.

I've really only had problems with the smaller ones, but they are the most prevelant on the bike so odds are, they will be the most frequent troublemakers.

I'm using some TPO products, "VERY" high quality stuff, if I liked it, I would buy it. Aloha Alex
