Race manifold and ecu question...
Hi Everyone! I received the Ducati race manifolds and race ecu that delete the cat and exhaust valve for Christmas as a gift!! Unfortunately, no instructions. I understand that I must take to the dealer to have the TPS set and fuel trim at idle. Do you remove the exhaust valve servo motor completely or do you just disconnect cables to valve and leave plugged in?? I know on my 1098s you removed the servo completely. Also, will the bike run at all and just not idle or no start at all?? Hope to have the pipes and ecu installed this week so I can get it to the dealer Saturday. Thanks in advance for your help!
By the way, I have the slip-ons and the individual filters (which work with the oversize tank) just for reference!

by race manifold and ecu, are you referring to the DP race exhaust and ecu system?
if yes, i have posted color PDF instructions from ducati performance here:

Unplug the electric connector of the valve servo motor and remove the whole thing (servo, valve and mid-pipe).

Unplug the battery
Unplug the o2 sensor from the wiring harness (you dont have to bother to put it away from the cat converter)
Unplug the valve servo motor
Take the stock headers + cat convert + mid pipe (including valve + servo) off
Put the manifolds kit on
Put the new DP ECU on
Plug the battery back.
Start the bike
Go get the TPS reset and CO trim at your dealer.
The bike will start and run, with an improper afr, but enough to take it to the dealer.

So you are using the Termi Mufflers???
Take your time ...
clean the pipes with alcohol after installation to get the fingerprints off or they will cook on there...
I had the termi mufflers first then after a while got the manifold kit..
It took some finagalling to get them to fit just right ,, even to the point that I thought about cutting a small portion of the length off the pipes.... DON"T CUT THE PIPES....
How far is the dealer away ???
I am a PIPEFITTER and the installation was a bit of a PITA but made it work...
I used some ratchet straps around the frame to pull pipes where they should go then snugged fastners up ...
Fit everything loose and work back to front , front to back to get the most clearances needed...
If you run into a snag Just ask for some help...
Who knows maybe mine were just a bit out...They got some intricate bends and angles there...

Thanks alot for the encouragement!! You are right, it is a PITA to install! I worked a couple of hours last night and still have alot to do to get it to my liking. I have done the same so far, installed everything loose and now I am working on getting it right!!
And yes, I am using the Termi mufflers!
