purchased two new ducs last year and though i signed up i never received a welcome packet. i think they are a legend.

if by "welcome kit" you mean the DOC welcome kit, these are available through the DOC you join, and have nothing to do with a new bike purchase.

if by "welcome kit" you mean the ducati owners card that is sent to you from the factory when you purchase a new ducati ... the system is set up so the dealer you purchase the bike from has to send in your data to the factory, then the ducati community department sends you the card. but from what i have heard, most dealerships do not send in the data to the factory, so most owners don't receive an owners card.
