Error code 37?
No doubt I have something amiss right in front of me, but would like help from someone with more knowledge than I have. Just completed the DucShop intake stack install on my 2008 Hyper S with Ducati eprom already installed when new. Really a nice product other than not "fully" addressing how to remount the coils. I really took my time, used the forum members pix and such, but when I went to start this afternoon, no engine rotation.
Figured that maybe the battery didn't have the sufficient amount of charge, so I hooked up to my one amp trickle charger and waited about 6hrs. to see if this was the culprit. No go!
When I scrolled through my speedo screen, it looks like I have a code 37 problem. Would appreciate knowing what this is and how to address it....Is there some electrical component that has to be reset after doing this install? Can't imagine the idea behind selling a product like this (intake stacks) and not sending "any" information regarding installation tips or possible codes that might occur .....
Help!!!! Pat

Okay, was forced to pull out the owners manual and research the code 37 dilemma I'm seeing after having installed my DucShop intake stacks. Looks like this is the code for an Immobilizer error.....What is this, and what did I do wrong when going through my install? Anyone else out there who did this install themselves have any problems with this same code? Pat

Yeah Pat, I know you were, but I got nothin'
In fact, I was a bit amazed that there were only two posts here in the last 32 hours. I don't know where everyone is.
Code 37 does sound a bit familiar though, try a search.
I'm feeling a bit of deja-vu as well. If it's true, you should have searched and someone else should have posted almost by the time I search myself for the answer. let's see....

Well, I guess my Deja-vu didn't pan out.
However, I did find this thread that should help you out some.

Decreasing Dave, please, no harm done... Just like you, i'm hanging out until school starts back up next Monday. No idea where everyone is at.....
Did turn a few more pages back in my owners manual (sorry, but this forum is almost too easy to turn to when something doesn't go correctly) and found that the immobilizer is the circuit within our keys that lets the CPU recognize the correct key and in turn, lets the bike start.
It appears that there is an override for this by simply inputting the 5-digit code from my owner's card, but think I'll first disconnect the battery and try my other ignition key.
Am sitting here on my couch trying to persuade my better-half to give me a hand with this.... Think I may be on a roll with things "not" going as they should ...
by the way, did you go ahead and install the lighter flywheel?
Am going to stop where i'm at with mine. Just placed a deposit on a low-mileage 91' 851. Thinking I'll turn my time and energy towards that versus putting the "planned" $1800 into the Ohlins cartridge kit.....AGH!!!

Yup. The lighter flywheel is in and it's a hoot.
That '91 851 is real cool, but I think you mshould stop AFTER the lighter flywheel, not before. For $75 from DucShop, it's a no-brainer.

Yes. That's all I've used my Hyper on as of yet, is the street.
It does allow the Hyper to handle better (less gyroscopic effect), it revs quicker, pulls harder of the turns and allows you to power wheelie one gear higher than you could before.
I love it.
Do a search.
