Is my offer in the ballpark?

Just wanted to see what some of you thought about the offer I just submitted for a left-over 08' Black biposto. I offered my local dealer $9600 for this left-over unit he's been unable to sell for the past 2+ years. After having seeing the comments about "crap" front forks (again?). I felt there was no way I'd begin to pay a premium for a new model when I'm not financing or trading in another unit towards this purchase. Just walking through his door with cash and then walking out with a bike that the following week would only be worth about $6500.
Also, I had bought a new Hypermotard "S" from this same dealer 2 years ago, so I'm well aware of the "junk" Zoke front forks. AGH!! $1800 for the Ohlins cartridge kits installed!
As always, will offer thanks to the comments I'm sure a few might want to offer....Pat

Sounds reasonable to me. Check the manufacture date. It may be older than you think. Hit 'em with the maintenance that is due after 2 years.

$7500 otd! forks are not that bad if you get them setup right...for street riding there fine...they are alittle harsh on sharp bumps though.
