DP ECU Differences In Performance

Ok one more time.......... What happens if I use my never installed yet 308 ECU ( for slip ons) with a 2 into 1 setup with the airbox mod instead of the 708 ECU (full system). I think they are both 8% more fuel. Does it matter if I have the power valve disconnected? Can I still remove the servo too? Will the performance gains be the same or do I have to change to a 708?

308 v 708

The figure of 8% for both doesn't stand up in my experience - I found that the 708 runs consistently richer than the 308. I did back to back dyno runs with the 308 and 708 and whilst the actual shape of the AF graphs were virtually the same they ran parallel - with the 308 leaner throughout.

Both were lean below 3500 then pretty linear up to 7500 before starting to richen off and both were acceptably close to 13:1 over the entire range. (Sorry, unable to upload the graph)

The richer 708 was the best match for my particular set up.The A:F was bang on 13:1 from 3500 to 7500rpm and power and torque consistently ahead of the 308 by some 3-4bhp and up to 5ft/lb. (Set up is Ducshop stacks and K&N filters on the intake side, no engine mods, with Zard downpipes - so no cat or valve - to Termi underseats which I mostly run with Db killers in.)

I would suggest that if you don't free up the breathing you won't feel the benefit (or the need?) of a 708. The airbox, even with the mod, is the major restriction.

Well who can argue with that????

to be sure ...sounds like you gotta spend some time on the dyno which means spend some (MORE) money...
Just to get that for sure feeling that all is running OK..

So..... If I only open the airbox cover and use a 2 into 1 the 308 is ok and I can remove the o2 sensors and the servo?

308 or 708 ECU ?

Sorry I forgot to mention no cat (Leo Vinse), MIVV muffler no pics to show yet. Anybody know the differences between the airbox cover mod and the vented aftermarket flat cover? Sound? Performance? I forgot the make.

Not sure about the ECU numbers, to lazy to look, but the cams ECU is 18% richer than stock, and with the right mods it will make the most HP. My "MOD II" is at 106HP right now, with this ECU.

To make more HP my "next round" (soon) I will be going to a high performace intake system with a PCV & dual cylinder fuel dynomap, I'm hopeing to get into the 110-112HP range, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Aloha Alex

For the '07-'09 1100 hypers ECU
1) Stock Part # 286.4.156.1C
2) Slip-on = 8% more fuel, programmable on/off O2 sensor & programmable on/off exhaust valve
Part # 96519308B = 2-1-2 pipe
3) Full system = 8% more fuel, no O2 sensor, no exhaust valve
Part # 96518708B = 2-1 pipe
4) Full sys w Cams = 18% more fuel, no O2 sensor, no exhaust valve
Part # 96519208B =2-1 pipe

No exhaust valve on this ECU aswell.
I installed the Zard header kit, got rid of the valve and no orange light on the dashboard.

All Siemens DP ECU for 2010 and 2011 retain the x2 O2 sensors, as they keep you in a close loop

308 DP ECU With 2 into 1 And Airbox Mod

Ok thanks for the help. So if I keep the 308 can I remove the servo AND the 02 sensor? Does it even matter?
