Wrecked my Hyper!!!

I hit a rock coming around the corner and I slammed into a big boulder, crushed my ankle. My bike is in the garage, but My friend said that my right side frame under my gas tank is bent in, will that total my bike? Just wondering, I will get it looked at next week because I'm laid up in the hospital right now.

Sorry to hear this.

Were you riding off-road??

There are black frames on ebay right now.

condolences bro, hope your ankle gets better fast.

well, time to start modifying and having fun right? get a frame off ebay, put it back together with an aluminum subframe this time, and keep having fun on it.

Crushed ankle - ouch! Get well. Aluminum subframe is nice, drops something around 8lb.

+1, but most frame damages can be fixed easily.

I hope you get well soon, and you don't have any permanent damage. Aloha Alex

Anyone have an idea of how much it would cost to have a profesional swap a frame to your engine/components? I assume you need to change the title to the new frames VIN?

Ouch! Hope you recover and get through rehab with no problems. Ankles are not fun.
Let us know what you do on the frame matter.
Everyone stay safe out there during these winter months. Saw a shot from France of a guy stepping his bike around stuck traffic on a freeway. Ominously, the car on his right was sliding sideways right towards him. No escape there, lucky it was just walking speed.

Thankfully you're here to tell the story. I hope you get better soon.

I'll vote for rebuilding the bike. They're too much fun to let go...

Sorry to hear you and your bike are out of action. Get well soon man. Hospital can be really boring, so lucky you have a laptop to pass the time. Get a friend to bring you in some descent food as well because I think you get better meals in prison than hospital
As previously mentioned your insurer will write the bike off because of the bent frame, but it can be fixed, and most likely the frame will end up better and straighter than when you originally got the bike. I've owned repaired write-offs that have had frame damage repaired and they're fine, but it all depends on what your comfortable with and if the $$$ you get from the insurer will cover any mod's you had on your bike. Keep us posted on the out come.
