hit-and-run. I need some parts!

hey all.
I got t-boned by a truck the other day turned into a hit-and-run. dumping oil and stuck in 2nd gear, i managed to catch up to the SOB a block down and luckily, he pulled over with the help of a couple of local harley guys that saw what happened and chased after him as well.
he gave the cops false info, and the guy disappeared. he had no insurance and my insurance wont cover it. i was discouraged by the fact that it turned into a police matter and i was told i would most likely see no action in this until they sorted it out, which could possibly turn into a couple years.

cutting my losses and moving on. maybe one day i will run into this bugger again.

long story short, i need the left side tank fairing. among countless other bits here and there. i am getting help from a local ducati tech for engine labor and some other parts.

ride safe!!

cheers!

proitalia has a nice online ordering system for ducati OEM parts.... furthermore, what else do you need? I have some OEM parts just sitting around from my upgrades... would totally be willing to sell some of the big parts cheap and donate some of the little parts that will not be needed in my future ( hopefully). Maybe some other forum members can chip in too? what do you need?

thanks guys.
i got a buddy that works at a local duc dealer to nitpick the hell out of the bike for an insurance quote, back when i thought the wankers insurance was going to cover it. total.... 22,000 including labor.
I replaced the front fairing, casings, sliders, subframe, pazzos and handle bar. mostly everything else is rash and still functional. except for the termi 2-1 which crushed.
my frame sliders saved my leg from being pinned to the trucks bumper but ended up bending and digging into the frame, the impact cracked both sides of the engine casing all along the front motor mount where the frame sliders go.

HankinSD: thanks for the help! i could always use extra parts. do you by any chance have the shifter lever and rear brake lever?

Naked or Nothing,

Looks like you have replaced all the parts already that i would have had to offer, including the subframe.... do not have either of the foot control levers...haven't gotten new rear sets yet.

sorry i cant help more because i totally feel your pain. Have never been involved in a hit and run like that, but i have had a bike basically run over while parked.... shitty feeling that people can be so messed up... but glad to see that you are okay.

HankinSD, thanks for checking. as far as bikes go, the hyper has definitely held up well given the circumstances of the crash and 32,000 miles in the past year and a half.

disgo duc: can you send me a message with some details about the rearsets?

Angry Hit n Run

Mate, post a 'shopping list' of wot you need.....
We've all done up-grades here and there. One of us is bound to have that
little 'do-dad' or whatever, in a box somewhere in the garage.

wow, I posted this a couple days ago and already, (thanks to you guys) more than 15 parts are on the way.

whats left:
- left side tank fairing (red)
-termi 2-1 can.
-rearsets... pending

suggestions?:
- cracks on both sides of the engine casing all along the motor mount
- threads are stripped out of the lower casing where the kickstand mounts on.

4th duc and all have had sidestand issues. granted, all but the hyper were bought used and neglected.

replaced or in shipping:
subframe, silders, bar and controls, pazzos, front fairing, headlight, right tank fairing, oil radiator, front tire hugger?, reservoirs, clutch cover, entire oem clutch.
a lot of other parts here and there have cosmetic damage but that can wait.

the more i look at the hype, the more i want to stomp this guy into the ground.

While you're at it, want a large fuel tank?
