Question DP CAM ECU Problem

I just finish intall my Ducshop stack and DP cam ECU
Put the gas tank temporarily just to check how it works before doing something else. And BZZZZZ it doesn start.
So i plug the vdst on it to check and find a chort to ground message. Disconect the battery try back the original unit and same things.
I have check everywhere on the bike and doesn't find anything wrong.

Each time i have reset the tps for each unit, the only other things that have done is disconect the fat duc ( don't need anymore) and reconect the original wire

I also have check the starter relay fuse ( ok) and the starter fuse ( ok too)

Anybody have an idea ?

Check it back, touch the shifter a bit and Bingo . It was mecanicaly in neutral, but not electricaly. Start it up fire instantly and run goods.

I'm glad it worked out for You. Wide open is better... What did You do with Your O2 sensor? Off-topic, I just low-speed lowsided mine on the slippery downhill off-camber into mi neighbourhood road... thankfully, the Speedymoto sliders & Motivation bar ends did their job. The left rearset is spent and the left tank fairing has a quarter size chinkaderus. Woodcraft rearsets were on their way anyway...&Now that I just ordered a set of Twilltech Carbon tank fairings and fresh teflon... Tis a Happy Holideay, indeed! Even if I totalled this bike--knock****, I'd still buy another one.

Thumbs up

Hi Nik !

For now my O2 sensor is still there, but unused (Run open loop now) then i will put a bazzaz Z-Afm with a Bazzaz Z-FI with a 0 mapping ( all blank only to collect A/F ratio data.I whant to be sure that the A/F Ratio is ok with my set up.Then when the set-up will be perfect i'll plug it with a Vances & Hines plug.

Sorry for your low side adeventure, but like you said when a bad luck like that happen its a chance to modify with better parts.

And like you if i would total mine, i would buy another one too. Its the most pleasing and reliable bike i have ever had. When i bought my SF i was thinking that it was going to replace my HM, but now that i've ride both back to back, i know that it won't be the case. They are both very fun and very different bike, with a little edge on the fun factor for the HM.

Cheers !

have you considered the power commander V and auto tuner? I think they come in much less expensive than the bazazz unit.

When bike doesn't start, I always check the simple things and most of the time it is the damn kill switch, kickstand switch, clutch switch, or some other stupidity.

After putting together a former suzuki of mine I racked my brain until I figured out I mounted the tip over switch upside down. The poor switch probably thought I was in australia!

Makes you wonder if they have to flip their switches over when they get their new bikes.......

....you know, just to be "normal".
