Enquiring on Hypermotard EVO 1100
Hi,
Greeting from Singapore.
I have been riding japanese bikes for few years now. I had saved enough money to buy my first ducati bike. I had chosen Hypermotard EVO 1100 year 2011.
Do pardon me if i had used any of the terms incorrectly as i am still learning from forum and internet.
Being newborn to ducati bike, i would like to seek advise from the seniors here. You see i am terribly in love with the open dry clutch sound combine with slip on termi! These mods shall be my first. But i am not too sure what accessories should i buy in order to do a open dry clutch with performance and stability.
Do i just buy a open clutch cover and replaced the stock one?

welcome....
yes, you can just buy an open clutch cover, although you'll find that once you do that, you might want to replace the pressure plate (the piece you see once you remove the cover) as well as the springs (the stock ones rust, buy some stainless steel ones.) Look through the gallery, you'll see some really cool clutch modifications and get inspired. post pics when you're done.

Mr Alexio,
Thank you for the valuable reply. I am getting some rough ideas now
1. Open clutch cover
2. Pressure Plate
3. Stainless steel spring.
Are there any specific brands that i could try? Does all these come in one package kit? Or i have to buy these items separately?

first of all.. thank you for calling me "Mr Alexio"... I just may change my name to that.
There is really very little functionality difference between brands... the pressure plate/springs/cover are purely "bling"... so put whatever designs together you can think of... there are no rules, only preference.
have fun with this, and keep in mind that after the clutch, you will start modifying everything else (it's an inevitable progression of the disease... trust me). SO, my suggestion would be to look at lots of customized Hypers, think of the complete colorscheme you are aiming for... and then work towards that.
I for example sometimes wish I had gone with gold accessories to match my wheels... but hey... there is always the next bike right?

Another cool company for clutch parts is Speedy Moto. Make sure to check them out! They are a sponsor of this forum as well.
Welcome to the sickness! Clutch parts are the gateway drug... it's all downhill from here!
Cheers.

I also really like the look of the spyder retainers made by paulimoto and sold by desmotimes. I use a gold one over my stocker and it looks nice. I run only 4 clutch springs, so it covers that up nicely.

Thanks for all the replies. I was wondering did anyone find the windshield useful on the hypermotard?
I used to ride to thailand thru malaysia highway. Windshield on my 1400cc connie works wonder to deflect the wind blast during the 200km/h travelling.
