Stable mate for the hyper
I dont post much around here, but figured id post this up...
Picked it up last friday for my wife...
so far we both love it...
looking to see what i have for options for a semi knobby tire for some light duty D/S riding next season... but i might try to commute through the winter with the new beast...
anyone else have a D/S as an alternate to the hyper?
Keith

Groovy as man
I took one for a 110 km ride only yesterday, what a polite bike ride and bloody good fun in the twisties, the 800 is still pretty energetic too.
Fueling smooth, seating nice, neat sound, torquey engine, puts our Hypers and my SMR to shame in the fueling dept and they get around 375 km per tank!!!!
I loved it and I want one, putting measures into place now, want white as well.
Envious now

Got so excited seeing your new beast I forgot to answer your question
Yes I have a DR650 adv bike and motard track slut, wife rides a KL250 Sherpa, when she gets her full license we will look at a F650GS with factory lowering kit.

That thing is SEXY! Since I'm a smaller guy, 5'9" and 138lbs wet , the F800 is a much more practical bike than the 1200GS. I have been drooling over the F800 30th Anniversary for some time now. Great buy and hope the wifey loves it!

I rented one for a day in Ca this past summer. I put more than 300 miles around higway 1 and other good roads that Ca offers. The bike is great, good wind protection, very smooth power and very stable on the higways. The only thing I didn't like that it felt heavy. It didn't inspire confident like the hyper on the turns.

Congrats on the purchase! I have not had a chance to ride one yet, but would definitely not pass up the opportunity!

i saw one being used on patrol by a philadelphia cop who was patrolling a phillies game. Cool bike! I've liked them for a while.

I've got a D/S stable mate for my Hyper. It's a 97' Husaberg 600. Totaly street legal and a blast to ride. IMO the best D/S I've ever owned. Bought new.
