Termi 2-1 Owners, show me your tail tidy!

Hey all,

New here and just purchased a 2008 HYM 1100S. It will be arriving in the next week or so and the first thing I want to take care of is the funky OEM license plate mount. I would appreciate you guys showing me what you have done as I am new to the Hyper world. Here's a pic of the bike for reference:

Cheers.

I was just searching for this same idea yesterday. I was considering mounting the plate to the two mounting bolts that hold the undertray. They don't match up and new holes will need to be drilled in the plate.

I mounted mine to the two bolts at the bottom of the undertray. I had to cut the rego plate down to fit and drill holes in it but i think it looks heaps better. i also fitted a small 3 LED light the same as this DRC Motoled License Plate Light - Bikebiz - New & Used Motorcycles, Motorcycle Parts & Motorbike Accessories just to make it a little more legal if the cops pull me over.

marksarah13, thank you very much for that information! I really appreciate it. It was exactly what I was looking for. Very clean look.

Are there other options out there? Kits available specifically for this application?

I did something similar with my SC Project 2-1, except the I "modded" the original plastic plate holder to fit and was able to keep the stock light. Also had to notch the license plate to fit within carbon fiber covers.

Note: the slip-on has been straightened since taking this picture...

home made tail tidy

I took the parts that were already on the bike, and just reattached the plate by where the exhaust hanger is located. Then took the wire for the license plate light and curled it up and had then mounted it right in front. literally $0 and looks clean.

I'll post a close-up asap.

Thank you for the information. That looks fantastic! Did you have to trim your license plate?

Plus... your bike... Gorgeous! Nuff said...
