There are maintenance things that you will face, but it depends on how well the bike is taken care of. Yes parts for these bikes are expensive, but there are quality places to find them at reasonable prices. I can tell you one thing for sure, the break in maintenance for a Ducati, from what I have compared, is sometimes cheaper than that of the Japanese bike dealers. As Isaid this is just from my expereince and observation. If you want a Duc, weigh out all the pros and cons of owning one. You will get a lot of helpful information here to aide your decision.
