I just used a 'Mahle KL 145' filter it is exactly the same as a Ducati/BMW filter.

I can use any 1 in 1 out fuel filter?, as I assume if seeing the fuels OK on the inside, obviously the fuel on the outside of the plastic used for the will be fine, seeing as it's in the tank??
Would any standard 1in/ 1 out with 3/16/5mm tails be fine? Being in Australia, will have to find an Aussie equivalent....

I love when I find a cheap NAPA or any other filter beside a BMW or Ducati (they as well as the Mahle 145 are the same) in a tank, ruptured.

How much money did you save on a filter after the tow bill, and to pay me to fix it right?

Interesting, considering it's not exactly a common problem to have a ruptured filter that is made for high pressure FI systems. Tell me, how often does this actually happen? And why would it be any different than the pressure of an automotive FI system, which sees the same amount of pressure.

Different Change Interval

I have used the Autozone Deutch FF424 filter. Compared to the OEM filter, this filter is the same overall length but smaller in diameter. This smaller volume suggests a smaller amount of filter media so it should probably be changed more often than the 6,000 miles recommended for the Ducati fuel filter.

Dealers Don't Stock it...

I've often wondered why most Ducati shops only offer BMW fuel filters. Because it's a more accessible alternative? Maybe even better? This is what the thread is about. Perhaps offering the p/n on the BMW filter would benefit this thread.

To yourself and other Ducati shops.....
I don't get it...stock the common stuff! I'll probably a T-shirt, riding gear, accessories, etc, while I'm filling my basket with with BMW fuel filters for my Ducati. I can't find a single shop online (including yours) that offers a fuel filter. Step up. It might even grow your business.
